Sérgio de Medeiros – Mafra - Portugal

Nasce no Barreiro em 1965, vindo para Mafra, terra paterna, com cerca de um mês.

Inicia os estudos obrigatórios em Paris, terminando-os em Mafra, onde, aos 19 anos, já casado, abre uma olaria de loiça decorativa e utilitária e modelação em barro.

Acabando por fundir esta pequena empresa com empresa similar familiar, permanece neste ramo até 1996, quando ingressa numa multinacional do ramo da fixação, vindo, desde 2000, a ocupar o cargo de gerente para Portugal.

Desde cedo se interessa pela fotografia, mas foi com as Câmaras digitais que desde 2011/2012 desenvolveu o seu percurso fotográfico, realizando a sua primeira exposição individual em 2015, com 28 trabalhos acompanhados de poemas também da sua autoria.

Em 2017, efectua para além de outros trabalhos, uma reportagem fotográfica relativa ao Palácio Nacional de Mafra para a revista Monumentos – Património Arquitectónico nº35, assim como para o livro Mafra Sacra – Memória e Património. Colaborou ainda com a Exposição e catálogo “Do tratado à Obra – Génese da arte e arquitectura no Palácio de Mafra com vários trabalhos seus.

In 2017, he carries out, in addition to other works, a photographic report on the National Palace of Mafra for the magazine Monumentos - Património Arquitectónico nº35, as well as for the book Mafra Sacra - Memória e Património. He also collaborated with the Exhibition and catalog "From the treaty to the Work - Genesis of art and architecture in the Palace of Mafra, with several works of his.
